Fred’s Stores announced on Monday that they had filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and would shut the doors to all their stores. The Store will began liquidation sales at all locations. Several of their stores have already closed and the rest are expected to close in the next 60 days. Locally there are Fred’s stores in Highland and Mountain Home.
