Two men from Ava were arrested by the Highway patrol last night in Wright County. Just after 8:30, the Highway patrol arrested 30 year old Stephen Smith for driving while revoked, felony possession of meth, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony probation/parole warrant from Wright county. Then just after 9 the Highway patrol arrested 38 year old Richard Porter on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, felony possession of meth, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Both men were taken to Wright County jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.
