A man from Thornfield was injured in an accident Wednesday morning in Wright County. The Highway Patrol reports that 32 year old Matthew Gerike suffered serious injuries when he drove off the road and hit an embankment and overturned the pickup he was driving. Gerick was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Rt F about 5 miles north of Mansfield.
