A man from Alton suffered serious injuries in a one vehicle accident Saturday morning north of Alton. The Highway Patrol reports that 24 year old Joe Blankenship was injured when drove off the road and hit a tree. The accident happened on county road 405 about ten miles north of Alton. Blankenship was flown to Cox South in Springfield.
