A man from Licking has been arrested on child abuse charges. The Texas County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of 44 year old John Peterson for abuse or neglect of a child and endangering the welfare of a child. Peterson allegedly admitted to striking a girl with a belt and using excessive force. The girls suffered bruises and the belt left marks. Peterson is being held on $150,000.
