Two Men Faces Several Charges After Traffic Stop And Search Of Residence

On Tuesday, Independence County Sheriff’s Department, Batesville Police Department, and 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had a wanted subject inside it. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that the vehicle had hide away emergency blue lights installed on it. Recently a report had been filed on a patrol car being broken into and some blue lights and a radio stolen. The blue lights found in the vehicle that was stopped are believed to be the lights; stolen out of the patrol car.

​As a result of the traffic stop and previous intel, a search warrant was conducted at a residence on Kari Road. During the search warrant, ½ ounce of Methamphetamine, Approx. ½ ounce Marijuana, two handguns, two sets of digital scales, and several plastic baggies used to packaged narcotics was seized. There was also a scanner, video surveillance equipment, and stolen road signs located.

​Jamie Kyle Medley and Timothy Clint Martin were taken into custody and facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver, Maintaining a Drug Premise, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Lights for an Emergency Vehicle, and Possession of a Communication Device.
