A Doniphan Man Has Been Arrested For Theft Of Items At Hirsch Feed In Thayer

A Subject has been arrested and charged in connection with the  theft of trailers and other items from Hirsch Feed in Thayer, MO.

 

On Tuesday, the Thayer Police Department received information from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office that they received information and possible location of a person believed to be involved in the thefts from Hirsch Feed. When deputies arrived at a residence outside of Doniphan, MO, they saw a male subject run from a burn barrel on the property into a camper trailer nearby. The deputies tried to speak with the male subject but he would not come out of the camper.

 

Thayer Police officers assisted Ripley County deputies with a search warrant for the property. Once entry was made to the camper, the male subject identified as  59 year old Robert L. Branson, from Doniphan, MO was located hiding under the bed of the camper and taken into custody without incident. A search of the property resulted in the seizure of several items believed to have been used in the thefts. Branson was then released to Thayer Police custody, transported to Thayer Jail and booked on a 24 Hour Hold pending formal charges.

 

Mr. Branson has been formally charged with two counts of Stealing – $750 Or More which are class D felonies. Branson is being held with no bond. Branson also has a previous Ripley County fail to appear warrant for Stealing – Class A Misdemeanor with bond set at $2,500.00 cash or surety.
