
A man from Yellville has been sentenced to two years in prison for animal cruelty. 39 year old Chance Dean Dodson was also charged felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to reports officers found a deceased dog about 15 feet from the front of a residence with the collar still on it. Then they found approximately 10 plastic drums that had been modified into dog shelters with stakes in front of them. There appeared to be skeletal remains around almost every barrel. He was sentenced to two years for aggravated animal cruelty and given credit for 223 days served in Marion County jail.
