Two separated accidents has left 2 people with serious injuries in our region. The first was about 1:30 yesterday afternoon on MO RT 14 about 8 miles west of Ava. 65 yr old Marie S Davis of Norwood was westbound when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit an International Harvester truck head-on. The driver, from Sparta was not injured. Davis was taken by air ambulance to Cox South in Springfield. The 2nd accident yesterday was located about a mile north of Macomb in Wright County. MSHP says 18 yr old Bryce E Hightower of Hartville was seriously injured when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit another driven by 80 yr old Robert Hackett of Macomb. Hackett was not injured. Hightown was taken by ambulance to Cox South.
48 yr old John Grisby of Salem was injured north of Thayer Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of his pickup on Hwy 63 and his truck rolled over into a ditch. Grisby was transported to OMC for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
