Izard County Sheriff’s Department Made Several Arrests Last Week

On December 30, Nicholas Adam Staggs, age 33 of Pineville, was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for domestic battery and violation of a no contact order. Staggs was currently out on bond from a previous charge. As a result, Staggs’ bond was revoked and he is being held with no bond. Staggs court date on these charges is January 23 in the Izard County District Court.

On January 1, Danny Steve Collins, age 64 of Mountain Home, was arrested by Trooper Lively for improper display of license plate, DWI, refusal to submit, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Collins’ bond was set at $8,085 with a court date of February 20 in the Izard County District Court.

On January 3, Micah Hoyt Nemec, age 59 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Trooper Lively for no tail lights, driving with a suspended license, DWI, refusal to submit to a chemical test, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. Nemec’s bond was set at $4,455 with a court date of February 20 in the Izard County District Court.

On January 3, Jeffery Burdge, age 56 of Joplin Mo., was arrested by Deputy Jason Jordan for driving on a suspended license, DWI, and possession of a controlled substance. Burdge’s bond was set at $2,315 with a court date of January 9 in the Izard County District Court.

On January 3, Jeremy Allen Woods, age 41 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Deputy Tyler Webb for battery 3rd degree. Woods’ bond was set at $500 with a court date of January 23 in the Izard County District Court.

On January 4, Lawrence Wayne Atkins Jr., age 47 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested by Deputy Nick Taylor for criminal trespass, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. Atkins’ bond was set at $1,780 with a court date of February 4 in the Izard County District Court.
