In the early morning hours of Friday, January 17th, 2020, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant on North Highway 5. During this search warrant methamphetamines, marijuana, and several guns were seized. Several arrests were made and the following warrants were received:
Jonah H. Smith, Ava, was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid Felony Class C, Unlawful Use of Weapons-Subsection 11-Possess Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance Felony Class E with a bond of $15,000 10% cash or surety with CPS supervision with 2x weekly drug testing, no firearms, court approved residence, and a 9pm curfew.
Bruce E. Farris, Mansfield, was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid Felony Class C, Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid Felony Class D, Unlawful Use of Weapons-Subsection 11-Possess Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance Felony Class E, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Felony Class D with a bond of $20,000 cash only, CPS supervision with 2x week drug testing, no firearms or ammunition, and GPS monito
