A Melbourne Arkansas Man Was Arrested On Several Charges

A Melbourne Arkansas man has been arrested on drug charges. According to Izard County Chief Deputy Charley Melton, Deputies Evan Jones and D.J. Tiernan were dispatched to a local business in Melbourne for a reported shoplifting where a male subject had pushed a cart full of merchandise out of the back door of the business. During the investigation deputies located 38 year old Michael Liscomb, of  Melbourne, in a field behind the business with the merchandise that valued at over $600. Liscomb also had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his person. As a result, Liscomb was charged with the misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and shop lifting. He was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of a drug paraphernalia. On the misdemeanor charges Liscomb’s bond was set at $740 professional with a court date of February 6 in the Izard County District Court. On the felony charges Liscomb’s bond was set at $10,000 professional with a court date of February 18 in the Izard County Circuit Court. Liscomb also has a hold out of Lawrence County on a pick up order for failure to pay child support.
