A man from Midway who allegedly threw urine on a officer at the Baxter County jail will undergo a mental evaluation. 30 year old Michael Newman will be examined by a mental health professional. While he was in court, he claimed that he was innocent of the accusations against him except for throwing the urine. Newman was charged with 4 counts of aggravated assault involving a law enforcement officer or staff member at a correctional facility. 4 counts of terroristic threatening and 2 counts of impairing the operation of a vital public facility. Newman is currently an inmate at the Quachita River Correction Center.
