A Statement was released Wednesday by West Plains School concerning rumors about a former employee. In the statement Superintendent, Dr. Lori Wilson said the school district officials received notification from law enforcement authorities earlier this month regarding an employee’s potential misconduct, which occurred outside the school district and did not involve any students. The employee was placed on administrative leave and is no longer employed by the district. In the state she said the safety of the students is their first priority. She also said the investigation is being handled by proper authorities. At this time no further information is being released by authorities.
