A man from Hoxie was arrested Wednesday on battery charges. 27 year old Cody Burton was arrested after Hoxie Police were dispatched to jones avenue for a female who had claimed that Burton was intoxicated and aggressive. Burton was arrested and was charged with third degree domestic battery, he was taken to the Lawrrence County Detention Center. Hoxie police were assisted by the Walnut Ridge Police and Lawrence County Deputies.
