The Missouri State Sectionals were held in Softball and Golf yesterday. The Thayer Lady Bobcat softball team lost in their sectional bid, to the defending state champs, and undefeated Strafford 9-0. Pitcher Zoey Mullings of Strafford struck out 17 Bobcats on her way to a no-hitter.
At the golf sectionals in Springfield, the Thayer or West Plains teams did not qualify for the state tournament next week but some individuals did. Deagen Jones of Thayer, and Landon Rothgeb and Larry Randolph of West Plains will represent their schools at the state meet on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
