Authorities in Shannon County are investigating a suspicious death in a house fire. A 77 year old Birch Tree woman died in a house fire last week near South Wall Street. Investigators allegedly determined there was conflicting evidence as to whether the fire was accidental or intentional. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for any information regarding any suspicious activity on or around April 2 near South Wall Street.
