Special agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division have been requested to assist the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department in the investigation of an apparent homicide. Thursday deputies were dispatched to a residence near Smithville where the body of a man had been discovered. At this time no additional information is being released pending the notification of the next of kin.
