
A man from Gainesville has been sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on 15 charges in 6 cases. 44 year old Jason Laird pleaded guilty to 4 counts of burglary, 3 counts of stealing firearms, tampering with a motor vehicle, stealing a motor vehicle and 2 counts of stealing $750 or more. Laird allegedly stole a car from Gainesville School on January 22, burglarized a home of Cedar Oak Drive on January 23, Stole a truck at a business in Gainesville on January 27, Broke into Dawt Mill Resort on January 27, Damaged property at Caney Mountain Conservation Area on February 15 and broke into Lick Creek VFD on February 16. He also attempted to escape the Ozark County jail. His sentenced was handed down via video chat.
