Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident last night south of West Plains. The Highway Patrol reports that 40 year old Heather Summers and 12 year old Hayden Summers both suffered moderate injuries and 18 year old Colton Lucas-Hanson suffered minor injuries. All three are from West Plains. According to the MSHP Lucas-Hanson turned into the path of the vehicle that Heather Summers was driving. The accident happened on highway 17 about 5 miles south of West Plains around 10:30 last night.
An accident early Tuesday morning left a man from Mountain Grove with moderate injuries. The highway Patrol says that 82 year old Charles Ray was injured when he fell asleep driving, drove off the road and hit a concrete culvert. Ray was taken to Texas County Hospital. The accident happened on highway 63 about 4 and a half miles north of Cabool.
