Thursday West Plains Police arrested Robert A. Abbott in connection with several automobile thefts in the area. Abbott was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges on multiple counts of auto theft and multiple counts of theft of a firearm. Abbott is currently on probation for felony stealing and is also being held on Multiple warrants from both Missouri and Arkansas. Abbott was also out on bond for Assault and armed criminal action in West Plains.
