A man from Birth tree was injured in a one vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon and faces drug charges. 41 year old Elvis Rutledge suffered minor injuries when he drove off the road and hit a concrete culvert and a state road sign. Rutledge was taken to Texas County Memorial hospital. The Highway Patrol also reports that he is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana and careless and imprudent driving involving a motor vehicle accident. The accident happened on Rt 17 in Raymondville.
