Razorbacks Baseball Team Wins NCAA Tournament Opener

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas had three players hit home runs in a 10-2 victory over Oral Roberts on Friday to open NCAA Tournament play.

Blaine Knight (11-0) allowed just two runs in eight innings for the top-seeded Razorbacks (40-18), who advanced to the winner’s bracket on Saturday.

Heston Kjerstad hit a two-run blast in the third inning to give Arkansas a 2-0 lead, and Carson Shaddy and Jax Biggers went deep in the sixth to make it 6-2. Kjerstad added a solo homer in the eighth.

Riley Keizor had a pair of solo homers for Oral Roberts (38-20), which will face elimination on Saturday.

Justin McGregor (6-2) lost for just the second time in 17 career decisions, allowing four earned runs.
