The Howell County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents of another scam. They say that west Plains Face Book page, which is not an official page is falsely advertising that the Sheriff’s Department and West Plains police Department is endorsing a presidential candidate and that Howell Oregon Electric Cooperative if offering free power to anyone who votes for their candidate. The Sheriff’s office says that their office and WPPD do not endorse a presidential candidate and that HOEC is not giving free power if you vote for their candidate. This is a scam.
