A Mammoth Spring Man Was Arrested After Authorities Found A Marijuana Grow Operation

 A man from Mammoth Spring has been arrested after authorities found a marijuana grow operation at his residence. On August 15th a search warrant was served at the home of Wesley Sims. During a search of the residence, they reported locating a large bag containing a green vegetable material on top of a pistol in the master bedroom. Next to the bed in that room, they located a safe containing numerous firearms. Officers also located a baggie containing a crystalline substance, two with numerous oblong pills, two with a greenish brown powder, several holding clear capsules with a greenish brown powder and numerous items of drug paraphernalia commonly used for the ingestion of marijuana and methamphetamine. In a spare bedroom, officers located a growing tent, grow lights, timers, an exhaust system and numerous small pots containing soil. Documentation on the wall in the bedroom noted different planted strains of marijuana. Sims has been charged with felony counts of maintaining a drug premises, six drug possession charges, including three for the purpose of delivery, and a simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms charge. He also faces a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $50,000.
