A Gainesville man has been charged with child abuse. 35-year-old Donnie Ray Brown allegedly tied a 7-year old boy to a chair and hit him with a belt. The child suffered bruising in the incident. Brown is charged with felony child abuse. Brown’s bond was set at $10,000. If convicted he could get up to 4 years in prison.
