A Poplar Bluff man has been charged with sexual abuse in Carter County. The Sheriff’s Department reports that 64-year-old Mark Keeney was scheduled to go to trial next week on rape and sodomy charges but entered an Alford Plea to second degree sexual abuse instead. Keeney was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a residential care facility. Keeney was sentenced to 330 days in jail and will be placed on two years supervised probation.
