Two local long-term care facilities are reporting a high number of COVID 19 cases. Heart of the Ozarks in Douglas County reports 54 active cases which includes 40 residents and 14 staff members. The Douglas County Health Department reports 74 active cases with 54 at the facility. Visitors have not been allowed at the facility for months. The Springs in Batesville reports that they have 41 residents and 27 staff members that have tested positive for the coronavirus. There are 79 residents at the nursing home and 109 staff members.
