A man from Edgar Springs was injured in an accident south of Licking Thursday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that 61-year-old Jerry Hale suffered moderate injuries when a van driven by 58-year-old Mickey Wilson of Licking attempted to avoid an animal and the vehicle Hale was driving hit the rear of the van. Hale was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on U.S. 63 just south of Licking.
