There were several accidents this weekend in the Troop G area of the Missouri State Highway patrol, resulting in several injuries. Saturday afternoon around 1:30, 46 year old April Coonts of Ava suffered minor injuries when she wrecked the SUV she was driving west of Mansfield. Coonts was also charged with DWI prior offender, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to drive on the right half of the road and Driving while suspended.
A Mountain Home Teen was injured south of Thomasville Saturday afternoon. 18 year old Keela Smith suffered minor injuries when she drove off U.S 160 and hit three road signs.
Around 3:15 Saturday afternoon 25 year old Morgan Adams of Eminence suffered moderate injuries, in a two vehicle accident on Mo 105 west of Eminence. The other driver was not injured.
Three people were injured in a three vehicle accident Saturday night around 10:15 on Rt K, east of West Plains. The Patrol says that a vehicle driven by 33 year old Robyn Burgess of West Plains sideswiped a vehicle driven by 18 year old Kaitlyn Chin of Caulfield and then hit a vehicle driven by 20 year old Levi Callahan of Pottersville head-on. Chinn, Callahan and 55 year old Jeff monsoon of Pottersville all suffered minor injuries. Burgess was charged with DWI, careless and imprudent driving and no valid driver’s license.
Sunday afternoon around 1, 27 year old Krista Kelley of West Plains and 22 year old Tajhe Moore of Jefferson City were both injured when a vehicle driven by 31 year old Jessica Lemmon of West Plains turned into the path of the vehicle Moore was driving. The accident happened south of West Plains on highway 63.
A woman from Lubbock Texas was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when she was hit by a vehicle northeast of Cabool. The patrol says that 25 year old Suzanne Atchley was injured when 46 year old Everett Merritt of Willow Springs attempted to avoid a vehicle stopped in the road and hit Atchley who was in the ditch.
