Three people were injured, one seriously when a UTV pulled into the path of a van. The Highway Patrol Reports that a UTV driven by 61-year-old Steven Lezak of Elk Creek turned into a private drive and traveled into the path of a van driven by 25-year-old Sarah Roberts of Cabool. Lezak suffered serious injuries and was flown to Cox South in Springfield. A 3-year-old from Cabool and an infant from Houston both suffered minor injuries. The two were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Highway H one mile east of the Elk Creek Post Office.
