The City of West Plains has had reports of City of West Plains customers receiving phone calls from the “City of West Plains Electric Department” wanting to come into the home to review the customer’s electric panel. The City would never call you asking that and would only advise if you had issues to have it checked out by a licensed electrician. The City would never do work beyond the electric meter, only electricians. If you are ever concerned about a call you may receive please call the City to verify, 256-7176. They do not solicit customers over the phone.
