Lawrence County authorities are looking for a fugitive in the Imboden area. Just after 5 Sunday evening a deputy made contact with 32 year old Jerrett Stanford at a gas station on highway 63 north in Imboden Stanford left a vehicle and fled on foot into the woods. Stanford was wanted in Sharp County for possession of a stolen vehicle and is thought to be in possession of a stolen firearm. Stanford is described as 5’10, 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing a pink striped shirt. He was last seen in the Dickson Subdivision on the west side of Imboden. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the stolen vehicle. Search dogs from the state department of corrections assisted in the search Sunday night. Stanford has a history of arrests. Authorities say residents around Imboden should keep their doors locked and if you see Stanford call the Sheriff’s Office.
