It was a wild finish in Philadelphia for the St. Louis Cardinals last night.  After giving up 4 runs in the 1st, Miles Mikolas settled in and the Redbirds began chipping away at the Phillies lead.  Matt Carpenter and Yadier Molina both hit solo homers to pull the Birds within 2 heading to the 9th.  Kolten Wong tied the game at 4-4 with a pinch hit single and Tommy Pham gave the Cards the lead at 5-4 with a solo homer in the top of the 10th.  But Philly battled back in the bottom of the 10th and a double by Aaron Altherr plated 2 for the Philly win 6-5.  The Cards and Phillies play again tonight, Luke Weaver will pitch for St. Louis.

The Kansas City Royals have lost 6 in a row, falling last night to the Texas Rangers at Kauffman Stadium.  Ian Kennedy gave up 5 runs in 6 innings to drop his record to 1-7.  KC and Texas play again tonight, Cole Hammels to the hill for KC.

**Before the game last night Kansas City announced they had traded closer Kelvin Herrera to the Washington Nationals for 3 minor league prospects.
