A woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in Douglas County and authorities are looking for the driver of the vehicle. 73-year-old Julia Hicks of Squires was walking in the roadway when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The incident happened on highway N about 5 miles southeast of Ava. Anyone with information about the driver should contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
