The West Plains City Council met Monday for their regular monthly meeting. During a special closed session meeting the Council unanimously approved the hiring of Daniel Clark from Katy Texas as the new Fire Department Chief. Clark is a 25-year emergency service veteran with experience in both domestic and international fire departments. During the regular meeting the council approved several bills and approved a proposal to give city employees a holiday for their birthday. During his administrators report, Tom Stein update the council on the Splash Pad at Butler Park
He also updated them on the CAP Project
He then talked about the grant for a railroad overpass
Mr. Stein then updated them on work in the Southern Hills Shopping Center
