A man who led authorities on a pursuit through three counties has been arrested and taken to Texas County jail. John Weaver was wanted on warrants in Texas, Barry and Stone Counties and when spotted in Licking he ran from police leading them on a chase through Texas, Dent and Phelps Counties. Several agencies were involved in the chase including the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, Licking Police, Dent County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway patrol. When he was arrested authorities found items from a burglary and a substance believed to be meth. He was taken to the Texas County jail.
