Friday afternoon a Ribbon Cutting was held at the New Sharp County Detention Center. The $8 million facility was completed under budget and will soon open. During the ceremony, former U.S attorney for Arkansas Cody Hiland spoke
The Sheriff says the move to the new jail will be complete in the next few weeks. The new facility has 100 beds and a state-of-the-art security system, nursing stations and a commercial kitchen.
