The Zizzer boys came from behind and defeated Branson 50-48 in first round action of the Bolivar Tournament. Taylor Harrison led the way with 13, Daegon Grren had 12 and Bristol Wood had 11. The Zizzer boys are now 10-5 on the season and will play Helias at 8:30pm Friday in semi-final winners bracket play. The game will be on “The Train”.
In the Big Springs Conference Tournament Semi-Finals Last Night in Alton
The Alton Comets beat Ellington 67-52, Chanler Sisco led Alton with 22 points, Brandon DeWolff added 17. The Comets will play Bunker in the Championship on Saturday. Bunker beat Van Buren 53-49
The Alton lady Comets lost to Ellington 73-37, The Lady Comets were led by Courtney Sharp and Maggie Warren with 10 points each. Alton Will play Van Buren for Third place on Saturday.
In the other Girls Semi-final matchup, it was Eminence beating Van Buren 69-62. The Lady Redwings play Ellington in the Championship Saturday.
