Class 3 District 1 Championship
The Thayer Bobcats took on the Portageville Bulldogs at Twin Rivers High School and come away with a big win 46-41. The Bobcats win their 8th straight district championship and after the game ESN talked to coach Matt Pitts about taking advantage of the matchups
The Bobcats advance to the Regional this Wednesday at 6 pm against Charleston.
1A-3 District Girls Championship
The Mammoth Spring Lady Bears dominated the Maynard Lady Tigers winning 67-29. The Lady Bears were led by Brynn Washam with 19 points, Megyn Upton had 15 and Shelby Vanginhoven finished with 10. The Lady Bears advance to Regional play this Wednesday at 10 am at Izard County High School against Greer’s Ferry Wes Side.
The West Plains Zizzer boys hosted Kickapoo Friday night at the West Plains High School gym. Kickapoo came out on top 80-56. Dagen Green led West Plains with 21 points followed by Connor Lair with 10. Zizzer boys are now 13-12 and finish Ozark Conference play with a 5-4 record.
