It’s been 23 years, but the West Plains Lady Zizzers are headed back to the Final Four! The Lady Zizzers beat Carl Junction 61-42 Saturday afternoon at the West Plains Civic Center to punch their ticket the finals at JQH Arena in Springfield. Ashton Judd led the way with 22 points followed by Allyssa Joiner with 11. Lady Zizzers are now 27-3 and will play Union at 5pm Thursday in the Class “5” Semi Finals.
The Hartville Eagles finished a perfect season Saturday winning their second straight State Championship beating Monroe City 43-36. Seniors Rice Piper and Cody Mahan combined for 25 points in the win. Piper had 13 and Mahan 12.
The Ellington Lady Whippets won the Class 2 State Championship Saturday beating Wellington Napoleon 63-56. The Lady Whippets had three players score in Double Figures with Kaylee King leading te way with 19 points, Gretchen Hackworth added 17 and Laura Gore 14.
