Two men were in Baxter County Court Yesterday and were each sentenced to 30 years in separate cases. 39 year old Joshua Chambers of Mountain Home pleaded guilty to amended charges of second degree sexual assault and incest, in connection with an incident that took place in May of 2017 involving a female relative. 46 year old Brent Atherton of Bull Shoals entered a guilty plea to charges of attempted rape of a 17 year old Mountain Home girl in May of 2017. This was not Atherton’s first time to serve time on sexually related crimes and Judge Putman said that he would serve 100 percent of his prison sentence.
