A 6-year-old Salem Missouri girl was injured and a man arrested after an accident Friday evening in Texas County. The Highway Patrol reports that the 6-year-old suffered minor injuries when 32-year-old Robert Melead failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the road and overturned the car he was driving. Melead was charged with 2 counts of child endangerment, DWI with passenger under 17, DWS, careless and imprudent driving involving a motor vehicle accident, 2 counts of no child restraint, no seat belt, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor delivery or possession of controlled substance in to a jail facility. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
