
A traffic stop leads to a drug bust in Texas County earlier today. Police say an officer in Licking observed a car with an equipment violation westbound on Missouri 32. The officer then requested the Licking K9 Unit. Inside the car, officers discovered nine grams of methamphetamine, seven grams of marijuana and prescription pills. The officers also found an electronic scale, baggies, drug paraphernalia and $3,980. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. No names have been released at this time. Investigators say all seized narcotics will be forwarded to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis
