Last year 26 people died on Missouri Roadways last year during the July 4th counting period, and 469 were injured, Troopers also made 172 arrest for driving while intoxicated. There was one boating fatality last year during the July 4th holiday counting period. This year’s counting period is just 30 hours while last year’s was 120 hours.
