An Izard County Deputy saves a persons life. Deputy Jaden Whitfield was dispatched to a residence in Oxford in reference to a person that overdosed. When he arrived at the scene the victim was unresponsive. Deputy Whitfield administered a dose of Narcan to the subject and in approx. three to five minutes the victim was responsive. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The Izard County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank Deputy Whitfield for a job well done. The Sheriff’s Department would like to also thank Robbie Howard General Manager of Mark Martin Dodge and Kyle Vance General Manager of Mark Martin Chevrolet for making this possible, They joined forces and bought the Narcan for all officers at the Izard County Sheriff’s Department.
