
A Pedestrian lost part of his leg after he was struck by a loose trailer on a bridge on highway 62. The accident happened Friday night between Cotter and the Blue Horn Campground. According to Cotter Police, a truck was eastbound on the Highway 62 bridge when the trailer being towed behind became loose. The trailer struck the unidentified pedestrian causing his left leg to be severed. The pedestrian was transported originally to Baxter Regional Medical Center. Cotter police were assisted by the Gassville Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police and by rescue personnel.
