A man from Louisiana is dead after a pursuit in Sharp County on Wednesday. According to reports, 19-year-old Brendan Charlet was acting erratically at an Ash Flat business when police were called. Charlet allegedly fled the scene and a pursuit began on Highway 62 and ended at the intersection of Highway 63 near McDonald’s in Hardy, where Charlet rammed a police vehicle and then went into a ditch. The officer said that he then heard a loud bang and when he went to check on Charlet he noticed a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The body has been sent to the State Crime Lab. The investigation continues.
