Thayer BETA students compete in state convention

The Thayer Sr Beta club members competed in the Missouri State BETA convention and won some awards.

Due to COVID-19, the in-person convention was canceled.

Trudy Britton from Thayer R-II spoke to ECNN about the student’s accomplishments.

Students winning awards in Sr. High BETA include:

Matthew Denton – first place, Language Arts – 12th

Skyler Todd – second, drawing division 2 and painting division 2 – fourth, onsite painting division – 12th

Avery Pierce – third place, Math – 12th

Lane Worley – third place, Social Studies – 12th

Shafer Mullins – second place, Science – 11th

Landry Pitts – fifth place, Math – 11th

Michelle Robles – third place, math – 10th

Ninth-grade students [participated in freshmen problem solving:

Students who placed in the state competition will advance to nationals this summer at Disneyworld in Flordia.
