A man from Calico Rock has been arrested on multiple felony drug charges. 57-year-old Jesse Carroll was arrested last week after officers with the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, Drug Task Force along with agents from Arkansas Community Corrections went to a residence on 37th street in Calico Rock and found Carroll is a shop building. During a search of Carrol, they found two plastic bags with a white crystalline substance that tested positive for meth. A search of the shop then uncovered a set of digital scales with meth residue and two glass smoking devices. Carroll is charged with possession of controlled substance meth, with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, with the purpose to analyze meth, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to pack meth, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to ingest meth, and maintaining drug premises. Carrol is a habitual offender. He was taken to the Izard County jail.
The Izard County Sheriff’s department reports several other arrests last week.
Brandon Merrill Bates, 37, of Horseshoe Bend was arrested May 18 and charged with third-degree domestic battery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault in the second degree. Bond was set at $1,340. He is currently being held for another agency.
Christopher Adam Christie, 35, of Brockwell was arrested May 18 and charged with driving on a suspended license, no proof of insurance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,980.
Ajofri Ghon Reeves, 39, of Turrell was arrested May 18 and charged with an instrument of crime. Bond was set at $1,120.
Chadwick Hancock, 44, of Jonesboro was arrested May 20 and charged with driving on a suspended license and defective signal lamps and lights. Bond was set at $510.
Aaron Blake Laxton, 31, of Mount Pleasant was arrested May 20 on violation of the hot check law. Bond was set at $1,607.32
Helen Leann McIntire, 38, of Mammoth Spring was arrested on a failure to appear charge.
Holden Turner, 23, of Melbourne was arrested May 21 and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $1,250.
Michael Eugene Williams, 58, of Calico Rock was arrested May 22 and charged with driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $365.
Sean William Mendoza Pennington, 34, of Horseshoe Bend was arrested May 22 for criminal trespass and probation violation.
